The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) and WrenchWay are proud to announce TruVideo as the newest Featured Partner of ASE Connects—a national initiative focused on strengthening the technician pipeline and elevating automotive, diesel, and collision careers.

TruVideo is the leader in communication technology for the transportation industry, providing innovative, AI-powered video and messaging solutions that drive revenue by building trust and improving customer experiences. Now, through ASE Connects, schools will gain access to TruVideo’s video inspection software at no cost.

By partnering with TruVideo, ASE Connects continues to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world shop operations—giving students an inside look at what it’s like to work in the industry. TruVideo’s technology highlights key skills today’s technicians need beyond wrenching, including:

  • How to record a high-quality inspection video
  • What to say and do in every inspection video
  • The best walkaround flow as you record
  • How to grade inspection videos to make sure they’re done right

ASE Connects was created to bring schools and industry together in a structured, scalable way to ensure that students not only learn technical skills, but also understand what today’s workplaces expect of them. Adding TruVideo as a Featured Partner strengthens that mission by showcasing how technology is transforming technician roles and creating new opportunities for career growth.

“Today’s technicians are not only highly skilled professionals—they’re communicators and technology users,” said David Johnson, President & CEO of ASE. “TruVideo helps highlight that evolution, and we’re excited to provide schools access to a platform that reflects how modern service departments operate.”

“At TruVideo, we believe that knowing how to use video in the service bay is just as important as knowing how to properly diagnose and repair today’s advanced vehicle systems,” said Warner Jones, Senior Vice President at TruVideo. “Partnering with ASE Connects allows us to support the next generation of technicians by helping them learn key communication skills that build trust and provide customers with exceptional service experiences.”

TruVideo resources are now available within ASE Connects at no cost under Available Resources. Schools currently participating in ASE Connects will be able to explore the platform and learn how it’s being used in leading shops and dealerships across the country. Schools not yet on ASE Connects can join at no cost on the WrenchWay website.
