Washington State Auto Dealers Association (WSADA) and ASE Connects are proud to announce a new partnership focused on strengthening connections between dealerships and schools across Washington State.

Through this collaboration, WSADA member dealerships will receive discounted access to ASE Connects—a growing network of schools, instructors, students, and workforce development tools designed to support the future of the automotive industry.

A Shared Commitment to Washington’s Automotive Workforce

The technician shortage is one of the most pressing challenges facing dealerships across the country, and Washington is no exception. WSADA has long been a champion for its member dealers, and this partnership reflects a shared commitment to giving those dealers the tools they need to build stronger, more sustainable technician pipelines.

ASE Connects brings together everything a dealership needs to get ahead of the technician shortage in one place: verified workforce data, school relationship tools, direct connections to students seeking real-world work experience, and practical retention and leadership resources—all backed by ASE and WrenchWay.

Building on a Strong Foundation

This partnership builds on an already strong relationship between WSADA and ASE Connects. Earlier this year, ASE Connects helped spread the word about WSADA’s Bright Future Scholarship program, which will be awarding nine $3,000 scholarships to students enrolled in Washington State automotive technology programs. The program received 38 applications, which are currently being reviewed ahead of the Scholarship Committee’s selection meeting on June 25.

“Solving the technician shortage requires the whole industry working together—dealerships, shops, schools, and the associations that connect them,” said Jay Goninen, Co-Founder & President of WrenchWay. “WSADA has always been a strong advocate for its members, and we’re proud to partner with them to make ASE Connects accessible to every dealership in Washington.”

“Our dealerships are feeling the pressure of the technician shortage every day, and it’s only getting more competitive,” said Melissa Miller, COO & General Manager of Honda & Toyota of Seattle and WSADA Board Member. “ASE Connects has given us a real way to get ahead of it by building school relationships, connecting with students, and making smarter workforce decisions. This is a great opportunity for WSADA dealers to build the workforce their business depends on.”
